first:

i am from UP - i grew up and lived in UP for more than two decades. i studied in a public elementary school known as Balara, where if you don't show some spine you will get beaten-up to a pulp faster than you can scream "mommy i want to pee!". i was lucky enough to be accepted into a science high-school - nothing changed except that the caliber of the bullies have lighter skin, are much taller and have either euro-sounding surnames or ones which come in one syllable; they gave me hell each chance they could and i gladly returned the favor.

i eventually ended up in UP because it's the only choice i have, my parents couldn't afford and didn't have the means to send me anywhere else; it was either UP or the labor force.

second:

i love UP.

although i visit my parents regularly, i seldom go around the campus anymore and somehow i miss my old university. it has become my regular habit to search the internet for anything UP related and eventually i found myself keeping track of several URLs that are somehow of personal interest.

let me then be upfront that most of the resources you will find in this blog are syndicated and are provided as-is with credits given to where i sourced them and linked to their source as well.

this blog was intended to serve as my personal UP news repository and i'm simply making this available for those who are looking for a one stop UP nook which they can have substantial access to UP related information
